Testimonials

I always feel so nurtured, welcomed and loved here. It is beautiful, peaceful and the food is fabulous!

The Center for New Beginnings has been a "home away from home" for me! The nurturing, warmth with which we are welcomed, along with the natural beauty of the land, beckons me to visit at least once a year.

The Center for New Beginnings is a wonderful retreat center for groups. Athens Regional Medical Center's Mind Body Institute help our first Silent Retreat there last New Year, and we had a great experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable and very reasonable in price. Our meeting space was lovely, and could accommodate our yoga practice, tables and chairs, and had back-jacks, cushions and blankets available.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, but not intrusive. However, no comment about the Center would be complete without mention of the wonderful food! We had several people on medically restricted diets and some vegans in our group and all of our needs were deliciously met. It was a great experience!

Finally, the best recommendation I can give is that we already have reservations for this year's retreat and we already have registrants!

SO RICH THE GREEN

So rich the green,
the trees and bush,
breathing outside my window.

The power and the beauty
shines into my soul.

And alive-ness gently
and wondrously, waves at me.

As dappled light plays
through needles and stems,
and slight breeze ripples
leaves without end,
all feels growth and summer .

The awesome display
grows still as the day lengthens,
and my mind calms in return.

The in-ward and the out
reach towards each other,
and peace arrives in silence.
